Rick Mercer’s Canada Coast to Coast to Coast

Rick Mercer is offering an epic new keynote that will make you appreciate, as never before, this unique nation we all call home. It’s a heart-soaring and laugh-out-loud funny affair, and a perfect way to celebrate what our great country has to offer.

Few people know Canada like Rick Mercer knows Canada. Whether prodding at our institutions, celebrating our unsung heroes, or illuminating everything wonderful and weird about our country, Mercer is a galvanizing speaker. He’s our fiercest critic, our sharpest mind, and our most hilarious comic. This is a one-time talk that gathers together all his—and our—strengths. It is a talk that connects to the past, evaluates our present, and looks forward, hopefully, into the future.

Buy this show and Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie (Feb 11) for $60. A great gift idea!

Remember when you used to listen to an entire album? Classic Albums Live does. For the first time in popular music, the greatest albums from the 60s and 70s are recreated live on stage, note for note- cut for cut. All of the focus is put into the music. They perform the works of the all the great bands the same way an orchestra performs the works of Mozart. They don't bother with imitation or impersonation. The bands are big - upwards of 11 pieces. They research these albums and go to great lengths to reproduce each and every sound live. If they need a children's choir, a sitar player or a string quartet, they bring it in - whatever it takes to get it right.

Abbey Road: The Beatles

Abbey Road is the 11th studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 26 September 1969 by Apple Records. The recording sessions for the album were the last in which all four Beatles participated. Although Let It Be was the final album that the Beatles completed before the band's dissolution in April 1970, most of the album had been recorded before the Abbey Road sessions began. A double A-side single from the album, "Something"/"Come Together", released in October, topped the Billboard chart in the US.

The Comic Strippers, back by popular demand with an all new show, are a fictitious male stripper troupe played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians. They sing, they “dance;” these guys are oiled up and ready to make you laugh. Women often say the most attractive thing about a man is his sense of humour - so ladies, these stripped-down comedians are sure to make your head explode. And not to worry, gentlemen, this is definitely a parody of male strippers. Some of the performers have what’s called 'Comedy Bodies' - they will make you look fabulous by comparison!
